Lead all elements of the Piracicaba Hose Assembly operations including manufacturing, assembly, testing, shipping in accordance with demand, quality, velocity, safety, and employee experience. Provide leadership and collaboration to all levels of leaders, employees, customers, and suppliers.
Description:
- Manage all dimensions of the facility by setting direction for the facility using insights and safety performance.
- Ensure total manufacturing effort by directing all hose assembly operations.
- Ensure production scheduling can be met in a lean manufacturing environment to satisfy assembly line and parts schedule requirements.
- Prevent manufacturing and assembly line shutdowns through strong maintenance strategy.
- Partner with support organizations (medical, business resources, environment and health safety, human resources).
- Annual business planning and execution.
- Leading continuous improvement process, making sure new ideas are generated, worked, and implemented, while eliminating roadblocks.
- Develop detailed new-term and long-term production plans.
- Partner with expanded global hose assembly organization.
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
Experience: 5 (plus) years of progressive responsibility in manufacturing and correlated areas (supply chain, logistics, engineering), including experience in Leadership Position (managing people).
Language: English level pre-advanced
Behavioral skills : Strong communication and leadership skills to direct and motivate people to ensure goals are accomplished; Solid foundation of best-in-class manufacturing concepts and strategies; Track record of safety focused leadership.
The ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
A successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of hose assembly production processes
- Strong focus on safety and quality, with experience in root cause corrective action execution
- Experience providing updates and report outs to executive leadership
- Experience leading leaders and engaging production teams on challenging expectations
- Postgraduate or related courses with People Management, Manufacturing and/or Logistics
- Language: English level advanced
- Black/Green Belt Training or knowledge of Lean, CPS and/or 6 Sigma principles.
