Dow Research & Development (R&D) has an exciting opportunity for an Sr. IT Analyst/Developer role in São Paolo, Brazil; Jundiai, Brazil; or Campinas, Brazil. This role will align to Dow’s Design You Day approach and allows employees flexibility by choosing when to work remotely and when to attend on-site activities based on project work and role needs.
The role is part of Information Research (IR), a hub of digital innovation for Dow R&D. IR provides information technology (IT) and data science capabilities & expertise to accelerate and support R&D innovation and enable Dow R&D’s digital transformation.
We are seeking to fill two Sr. IT Analyst/Developer roles.
About you and this role:
As a Sr. IT Analyst/Developer, you will be part of a global team to design, develop and support software applications to advance research objectives and programs.. This is a technical role and will have a strong focus on software development, system & data integration, and automation in the research data management domain.
Responsibilities:
Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas.
Works closely with business and technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build solutions which meet requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity, accelerate research and long-term product/system vision.
Develop software applications, API, data models and integrations that are sustainable and supportable.
Builds, tests and implements application objects.
Provide ongoing support and sustain solutions. Assists with issue resolution.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in developing and supporting IT software applications
.NET Development: Strong knowledge and experience in .NET, including both .NET Core and the full .NET Framework
Entity Framework: Proficiency in using Entity Framework for application design
SQL: Strong SQL skills to develop complex queries to retrieve and transform data
Web Development: Proficiency with web development technologies and frameworks, such as Durandal and Aurelia
Version Control: Proficiency in using version control like Git for code management and collaboration
Troubleshooting: Strong code troubleshooting and debugging skills to diagnose and resolve issues that may arise during development and deployment
Advanced English level written communication skills
Your preferred Qualifications Include:
Azure DevOps Pipelines - Proficiency in setting up and configuring Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Experience building data pipelines for system data integrations.
Project management and Agile development experience
Server System and database administration
Experience in working in and developing software applications for a research or scientific organization
Advanced English level verbal and written communication skills
