The Sr. Manager, Commercial Excellence will be a key role to guide and connect Align strategies and execution, ensuring efficiency and optimization across the organization different channels. The focus for this role will be enabling new or enhanced capabilities on commercial systems and processes, aligning them to the business strategies needs.

About this opportunity

  • You will constantly look for improvements either thru processes, systems or infrastructure changes, identifying and lead the need for change.
  • Together with Commercial Operations teams and Centers of Excellence (CoEs), you will lead the optimization of sales effort by developing sales systems, tools, and processes, supporting all different channels within Align’s commercial organization.
  • You must enjoy working cross functionally, building effective, strong relationships, and managing change with all assigned business partners (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Training, and Business Intelligence/IT teams). Ability to ‘influence without authority’ is critical for this role
  • Key person for understanding the end-to-end unmet needs of internal and external customers in terms of processes, policies, tools, infrastructure, and other activities, and building a plan of action to execute with counterparts and internal stakeholders.

In this role, you will...

  • Lead cross functional projects in customer allocation and sales force deployment area, in partnership with the Salesforce Effectiveness CoE, ensure CRM and tools are reflecting updated hierarchies and customer allocation into territories with the appropriate workload.
  • Work to automate processes for customer/account profiles’ data gathering, by managing their account and clinical iD setups
  • Helping through systems and processes, commercial teams to understand customers situation analysis, using KPIs and reports available and together with customers, develop a business plan to ensure customers’ success.
  • Integrating where possible, different systems and BI platforms, ensuring fast decision-making tools are available to our commercial teams.
  • Enable 360 degrees customers facing teams’ visibility of their customers, maximizing the partnership work and ensuring customized user interface, depending on each channel the commercial teams belong to.
  • Manage key communication between internal stakeholders, sharing local and abroad best practices.
  • Map all customer journeys details, customizing each channel strategy and connect the necessary program initiatives, ensuring our CRM systems and tools, enable our commercial teams to properly track their customers.
  • Manage and prioritize the LATAM sales operations deliverables in Americas/Europe, with properly SLA’s.
  • Develop long-term relationships with key business executives and stakeholders to ensure best implementation practices are being demonstrated.
  • Develop and coach his/her team for a high standard deliverable.
  • Ensure sales teams succeed through a proper quota setting process (challenging, but feasible), maximizing attainments and variable sales compensation,
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll need...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admin/IT/Marketing/Engineering or equivalent work experience (Masters Degree Preferred)
  • Above 10 years of experience in Sales Operations or Process Improvement
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
  • Advanced knowledge with CRM platforms as SFDC, Veeva or equivalent.
  • Ideally, having any of below background courses as:
    • Project Management Professional - PMP (PMI Certification)
    • Agile (CSM Certification)
    • Scrum Master (CSM Certification)
    • Product Owner (CSM Certification)
    • SalesForce Adm and Advanced Adm (SFDC Certification)
  • Strong analytical background – must include ability to identify relevant material within organization and analyze it creatively to draw inferences regarding the likely effect on the customer adoption and implementation. Proven skills on Power BI, Tableau, SQL or equivalent
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity – will need to create scenarios of alternate outcomes and make recommendations about the implications of integration decisions based on limited and imperfect information.
  • Experience with contracting strategy, development and execution. With strong focus on contract compliance and maintenance
  • Communication skills to adapt technical or non-technical language as required.
  • Medical device experience preferred
