You will provide vital help to the Process Industries Division in Italy to meet business needs efficiently and effectively, boosting customer satisfaction by performing all tasks to high quality standards, in line with relevant processes and guidelines.Your mission will be to support the deployment of the quality strategy for the local organizational unit, while ensuring sustainable operations. In this role you will also actively support Local Business Line management in ensuring that all local business processes are aligned with ABB Trade Compliance (Import/Export) policies and guidelines.

Your responsibilities

• Assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. Collaborate with local functions to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System of the local unit in close collaboration with the local functions and teams, including quality procedures, processes and tools, service or projects execution, identification of gaps and improvements.
• Perform activities related to designated areas within Quality, which include customer & claims management, projects quality plans, audits & reporting, customer satisfaction surveys and related actions, quality KPIs monitoring.
• Support in analyzing and optimizing the internal processes, and lead improvement initiatives, in close collaboration with other internal functions.
• Support the Local Business Management, in the role of Local Trade Compliance Officer (LTCO), in ensuring that all local business processes and procedures are aligned with ABB Trade policies and guidelines related to import/export operations, as well as providing staff with hands-on guidance in complying with trade related requirements, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of ABB`s Global Trade Program.
• Support the local unit, in the role of Product Classification Engineer (PCE), with the classification of products, software, and technology that ABB exports or imports with respect to government export control (dual-use and military) and customs (Harmonized System) lists. In case of already available product classification (e.g., as provided by suppliers), ensure the correctness of the obtained classification.
• Support the local operations, ensuring that the international transports are assigned and managed in compliance with the ABB requirements and the national and international regulations.

Your background

• High level of technical education (Master’s Degree in Engineering is preferred)
• At least 2 years of experience in similar roles (appropriate trainings will be provided to cover gaps)
• Strong interest and motivation in the described roles
• Business mind-set, responsiveness, strong sense of ownership, self-driven, willingness to explore.
• Team player with strong written and spoken communication skills, capable of communicating in English (fluent English is appreciated).
• Knowledge of export control and customs rules and regulations is appreciated (willingness to learn).
• Nice to have: technical knowledge of products, software and applied technologies in the scope of the LBL (willingness to learn).
