Are you passionate about crafting and delivering experiences? As the Associate Manager, Events, you will be a be an integral member of the global events team, leading and executing LATAM events and providing global support to the team. You will focus on the complete event experience from start to finish, including idea conception, planning logistics, and on-site execution in LATAM. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events, you will seek to craft exceptional experiences that establish, foster, and preserve relationships between key stakeholders.
This is a full-time position based in Sao Paolo, Brazil. We offer flexible workplace policies that can accommodate hybrid candidates who are comfortable traveling to our Sao Paolo office location 2 days a week.
In this role, you will:
- LATAM Event Management
- Lead and execute premium customer events in LATAM region for travel trade, corporate, and MICE travel clients in partnership with the LATAM Sales team, as well as LHW Member Hotels in partnership with the Member Experience team.
- Build and manage event registration and client invitations using the CVENT platform.
- Manage all event logistics including venue sourcing, coordination with vendors, room block negotiations, F&B, entertainment, gift orders, transportation, and event execution on-site.
- Maintain event budgets, vendor invoicing and participation fee collection.
- Develop in-language event collateral and written communications.
- Global Events Team Support
- Support global event team with general planning in respective regions.
- Support and train
- Perform consistent CVENT auditing for clean reporting.
- Maintain event image library for the global event team.
- Liaise with accounting department to enforce and monitor event payment policies, procedures, and programs.
- Manage and update Global Event Calendar.
Requirements, Experience and Qualification s :
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in event management role
- Background in event planning and communications
- Experience working in a global organization.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with others
- 35% travel required, must be able to travel internationally
- Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish
- Based full-time in Sao Paulo
