Business Controller

We’re looking for a Business Controller who will be a finance business partner for the Business Operations Development (B.O.D.) function and who will be providing critical and relevant financial information for historical, current and future performance of the function. The Business Controller drives improvements in reporting and measurement to support all direct and indirect B.O.D. activities, especially the cost, strategic and transformation initiatives. The role also supports the Supply Chain Board towards reporting auditable financial performance of the B.O.D.

This position will can be based in Helsinki, Finland; Bologna, Italy; Zaragoza, Spain; Stargard, Poland.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Provide and prepare B.O.D. Supply Chain Transformation Office and Supply Chain Board with financial information and business review and analysis and use this information to participate in planning, budgeting, decision making and controlling.
• Develop and track cost savings resulting from KPI performance improvement projects. Monitor the projects’ profitability, cost, working capital and cash flow development and ensure that all negative deviations are addressed with no delay.
• Perform fixed cost controlling activities and analysing monthly cost centre performance.
• Monitor and analyse monthly results against the budget. Prepare and present financial performance reports according to Hiab guidelines and controls.
• Ensure that adequate controls are in place for the business and organisation and that controls are implemented and followed in the organisation.
• Inform, initiate and implement corrective actions together with relevant functions to ensure continued effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
• Develop investment proposals to support growth and operational improvement.
   

What you’ll need to succeed

• Relevant academic degree (e.g. BSc/MSc in business and economics)
• Desired: Internationally recognised accounting qualifications
• 7+ years in high level business controlling role and/or other demanding financial roles
• Experience working in similar manufacturing industries, in a global business environment and matrix organisation
• Business control, financial reporting, finance processes and systems
• Management accounting and reporting, project accounting
• Strong capability in use finance tools - e.g. Qlikview, HFM & Google tools
• Good understanding of IFRS (esp. revenue recognition), local GAAP and tax regulations
• Executing for results, strong analytical capabilities with pragmatism and operational skills
•  Relationship building, strong communication and cooperation skills
•  Proven leadership skills, proactive working approach, high energy and drive to execute changes
• Advanced English is mandatory
