As a Channel Manager - South Korea, Japan, Taiwan for Process Automation Business Area in Seoul, South Korea, you will be responsible for leveraging technical knowledge, with his/her sales experience to add new partners that can support opportunities within the growing Energy Industries (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Water etc.) and Process Industries (Food & Beverage, Data Centers etc.). Reporting to Region Partner Business Director – APAC, you will be responsible for executing channel sales strategy and initiatives within the assigned market, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for assigned channel in a profitable way: orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities
- Growing existing partners and developing new partners in the areas of Process Automation
- Implementing the agreed channel sales strategy and budget
- Contributing to the identification of appropriate channels and targets, managing the day-to-day sales within the assigned territory
- Providing channel strategy input for the sales team, and helping to harmonize the market sales and marketing plans
- Implementing Sales Strategy by collaborating with Local Sales Account team
- Contributing to achieving key targets (e.g. volume, prices, mix) for the channel in the specified market
- Identifying and evaluating channel partners (per agreed ABB policies and standards including cyber security) based on segmentation outcomes with the Channel or Sales Manager
- Reporting progress against channel strategy, plans and budgets
- Conducting analyses on channel activity and takes ownership for solving problems
- Collaborating with Marketing and Sales and executing those activities that require channel/segment partner participation
- Supporting in evaluation/certification and training of channel partners
Your background
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or Business Discipline
- 5+ years of sales experience in Industrial Automation including channel management
- Digital Transformation, Channel Partners, System Integrators and Industry Experience
- Experience in Sales, Industrial Automation, System Integration and Channel Sales or Leading Distributors
- Experience working with all levels of customers, including executives, management and engineers
- Must have fluency in Korean and English and business level in Japanese would be preferred
- Must have Valid Driver License, and ability to travel 25-50% of the time
