JPMorgan Chase has a minority ownership in C6, a full service digital bank based in Brazil as part of our strategic vision for international expansion. This role in the Controls Management Organization is to support the C6 business and is responsible for having a deep understanding of the C6 business and it´s underlying process and controls environment.
As the first line of defense, Control Management prevents, detects, and monitors operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. We play a key role in meeting our commitments and act as a driving force behind the strategic priorities that will future proof our business in an ever-changing global landscape. In support of our mandate, we maintain a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns the team with the line of business to mitigate the operational and other risks.

The candidate should be interested in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, playing an active part in various forums, participating in control framework enhancing initiatives, and assisting in audits.
The role is varied and demanding for which the candidate will need to think strategically and have strong influencing skills and ability to partner with teams to drive enhancements on above topics and control environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Working as part of a highly collaborative and successful Control Management team, in partnership with stakeholders, you will:
- Work closely with the business teams, getting first-hand insight into challenges faced by the business as they design and build products and expand their business
- Partner with C6 teams to facilitate discussions around control design, understanding business processes and control failures with a deep level of detail to challenge status quo and influence the improvement of the control environment
- Develop relationships with key senior stakeholders across businesses and functions to allow efficient information and escalation flow
- Lead the development of creative and innovative solutions to manage risks, ensuring that controls are properly designed and operating effectively
- Act as independent advisor and thought leader, collaborating effectively with our support partners to achieve a strong control framework
- Evaluate and perform ongoing analysis of the C6´s operational risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses, determine root cause of control deficiencies and influence the implementation of appropriate controls
- Provide control committee governance support, including development of committee materials
Required Capabilities, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Fluent professional English and Portuguese
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
- Strong stakeholder management skills - you are someone who is collaborative and can build meaningful professional relationships
- Experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred
- Ability to synthesize information and formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; solid critical thinking in technical scenarios
- Attention to detail and strong time management, project management and collaboration skills to drive initiatives forward
- Able to work effectively in agile environments, adaptable to shifting priorities and delivering value whilst dealing with high degrees of uncertainty and continuous change
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge of the Brazil landscape, available tools and controls for Retail Banking
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
