We are looking for a new colleague for the position of ABB Europe Operations Center with branches in Ostrava, Brno and Pilsen “Procurement and Logistics - EUOPC Department Manager“.The Operations center Europe (EUOPC) is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which provides engineering for units across Europe and employs more than 600 people. It also includes a supply chain management center.As the Head of Procurement and Logistics (PL) for the PA EUOPC PL department, based in Ostrava, Czech Republic, you will lead a team of specialists in implementing effective sourcing and quality strategies. Your goal is to ensure that our suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet the current and future business requirements of our internal customers.Reporting to the Head of EUOPC, you will be responsible for driving excellence in the execution of purchasing and Logistics strategies. Your responsibilities

• Developing relationships with main stakeholders and conducting business effectively
• Planning and tracking team activities, costs, budgets, spending, and savings forecasts and reporting results to management and internal customers
• Utilizing the SAP ARIBA, SCMIS, and other sharing supplier information and identify high performing suppliers for ABB
• Ensuring that buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with procedures and ABB guidelines
• Overseeing delivery process to ensure that cost, quality, and delivery time meet project expectations
• Ensuring the PL team is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed while guiding, motivating, and developing less experienced colleagues in line with succession planning

Your background

• More than 5 years of experience leading teams, preferably in Purchasing or a similar area, within the electrical industry project business environment
• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SCMIS is an advantage
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused and customer-focused approach
• Required - University degree – technical advantage, very good English language skills, and professional communication skills with a global mindset
