Job Summary
Regional Sales Consultant is responsible to partner with the Regional Vice President (RVP) through advisor relationship development and prospecting, driving proposal activity and new business on-boarding to drive plan and individual retirement business. Regional Sales Consultants are friendly, well-spoken and prepared to assist in closing opportunities and executes workflow and activities to ensure a smooth sales process and transition to on-boarding.
Job Responsibilities
This position is responsible for partnering with the Regional Vice President of Sales to generate revenue. Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with RVP to drive sales revenue following workflows and metrics determined by sales leadership. Execute sales generating activities such as outbound prospecting, pipeline/proposal management and closing new business. Support and deploy promotion of product launches and marketing campaigns with advisors. Deliver insight on the market, our products, and the industry to support sales stories and drive revenue for the firm.
- Conduct outbound sales calls and respond to inbound calls and emails from financial advisors and third-party administration (TPA) firms to qualify leads and prospective relationships. Prepare proposals and fee schedules as needed.
- Identify potential opportunities and leads within current clients and new business development pursuits
- Leverage technology to support proposal generation and distribution process. Ensure data integrity, capturing client/prospect information and perform report generation/analysis and disseminate accordingly
- Support, coordinate, and participate in special projects which support our overall sales distribution and retention strategy including (but not limited to) workflow development, new product rollouts, training, and delivery.
- Work with management to refine selling skills through on-call coaching and monitoring. Participate in sales presentations to further knowledge and development.
