We seek an experienced leader to drive profitability and growth across our key industry segments. You will be the champion to maintain and increase our market position by providing an end-to-end superior customer experience. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the service and solution sales of Automation (DCS), Electrical, Measurement and Excitation Systems within the Energy Industries market. You will lead the local sales organization consisting of 8-10 people. To be successful in this role, you need to have the drive and genuine interest to develop our people and organization.To this end, you have a skilled sales and sales support team based in Istanbul and Ankara. This position is primarily based in Istanbul, Turkiye.
Your responsibilities
- Defines key sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor the performance.
- Anticipates and identifies the shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial actions, proactively.
- Identifies and evaluates new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation and allocates required resources.
- Participates in the negotiation of key contracts.
- Supports Sales organizations to ensure the achievement of sales volume and product mix targets.
- Identifies and manages potential risks (including cybersecurity) related to contract agreements across customers/channels.
- Builds effective, competent and high-performing teams. Provides guidance to the teams and seeks knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.
- Reviews organizational effectiveness and performs competence assessments and continuous skill upgrades.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers in existing and potential customer organizations.
- Manages the direct reports to achieve order and profitability targets.
- Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within HR policies.
Your background
- Engineering Degree in Automation, Electrical and Electronics or similar.
- At least 5 years of Sales leadership experience, preferably in a large global/regional business environment. Track record of developing and executing strategic plans and delivering results in an international environment.
- Market knowledge in Power Generation, Water, Oil & Gas, Chemical & Refineries sectors.
- Teamwork and customer-oriented profile with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English. Turkish knowledge is mandatory.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration would be a plus.
