Sensing & Safety Technologies (SST) is a growing business unit within Honeywell that is poised for expansive growth. As a Sr Appl/Sys Sales Engineer with SST, you'll be part of an elite team shaping the future of advanced sensing and hazard detection technologies across a diverse range of industries. Your work will support pivotal SST endeavors within the connected safety solutions market. With SST, you’re contributing to a legacy of excellence and innovation that keeps critical operations safe and productive, from oil refineries to semiconductor fabs, to the factory floor. The Sr Application/Systems Sales Engineer is responsible for designing and deploying connected portable gas solutions and uncovering new opportunities while keeping the existing product and technology at its core. This includes working with the regional sales team to develop a product pipeline with external customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements
- Identify opportunities and build credibility with customers
- Utilize your product knowledge to deliver the value proposition to the customers
- Risk identification and mitigation for all projects
- Follow Leadership Standard Work
- Participate in Customer complaints and root cause analysis
- Achieve assigned metrics of the role
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Number of solutions created solving customer problems thereby creating revenue
- Enable sales, increase in revenue for the product portfolio in working with product managers and customers
- Be the technical focal point for external customers, and an internal resource for new product development
MUST HAVE
- 2+ years of work experience with software solutions and/or Wireless networks
- 2+ years of work experience with gas detection products
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT or Technical Sales environment: Software and/or Hardware
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
WE VALUE
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Knowledge of Honeywell RAE and BW Products
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment
- Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization
- Working knowledge of CRM i.e.: Salesforce
- Good industry and market knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
