Strategy and M&A Manager
About the Unit
The Yara Americas Region comprises the units of Brazil, Latin America and North America with operations in 13 countries and a total of more than 5.000 employees. The Region operates fertilizer production, blending units and terminals, and distributes and markets fertilizers and certain industrial products, reaching a total volume of 18 million tons per year. Yara has a long history in the Americas, and our focus is to develop the Yara Crop Nutrition concept and increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Support the operationalization of the regional Strategy and the strategic planning processes.
- Be an ambassador of the regional Strategy and contribute to build alignment across the organization.
- Lead or contribute to regional strategic projects, leveraging resources from across the organization, from and outside the region.
- Lead or contribute to regional M&A projects, including strategic investments, divestments and partnerships.
- Support investment decision processes following Yara's capital value approach.
- Contribute to shaping and prioritizing the regional pipeline of strategic and M&A projects.
- Develop materials and drive presentations towards Yara's Management and Board of Directors.
Profile
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business administration, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.
Strong project management experience preferably from top management consulting, investment banking, private equity or corporate Strategy and M&A. Experience from large-scale corporate transformational projects is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; Spanish is an advantage.
Structured individual with strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
Strategic mindset, strong business judgement and ability to think holistically and “see the big picture”.
Ability to work independently and in teams, connecting with and mobilizing all levels of the organization.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to challenge established practices and processes when required.
Enjoying working in an international and high paced environment; able to travel within America.
