What will you do as a Technical Product Manager?
Like software developers and testers, the Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a team member of an agile development team. The TPM is accountable for maximizing the value of the product. That involves a thorough alignment with both the DevOps community and Vopak business, to define the value a product can add. The TPM is responsible for translating features and requirements into user stories ready for development. Once the scrum team delivered the product features, the TPM will make sure these are accepted, implemented, used properly and maintained. That involves a lot of involvement with the user community of the product.

What are the requirements for being a Technical Product Manager?
We look for people that are self-starting and show strong ownership for their products. You should have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. For this role you need some proven experience in delivering digital projects and products.
3+ years experience managing services, dealing with user requirements
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience with agile scrum way of working
Ability to operate in a complex environment with many stakeholders.
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with multiple levels of leadership as well as cross-functional business and technical teams.
Attention to detail with self-discipline and drive for results.
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
What does your day look like?
As a team member of one or more agile development teams you join the scrum event like the daily standup, backlog refinements and sprint planning. Next to that , you will spend time aligning with stakeholders, other Product Managers & application users. Your main helpers are the Business Process Analyst and the UX designer. You will prepare user stories with them for further refinement by the team.
Core Responsibilities:
Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases
Create, manage, explain product roadmap
Provide the Vopak Development teams with a prioritized list of features (the backlog).
Maximize the value of the product and the work of the Development Team(s).
Clearly expressing Product Backlog items, ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
Ordering the items in the Product Backlog applying Service Now, to best achieve goals
Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next
Guard User Experience throughout backlog refinement and development
Perform product demos & presentations to stakeholders
Lead User acceptance testing executed by representative user communities
Accept the technical user stories together with the Tech lead
Make sure the product user community is trained to use the product
Collect feedback, metrics on the product. Convert that into reports and data driven insights to prioritize improvement
