OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Director of PMO who will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various projects within our manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading projects in the manufacturing sector, including ERP implementation, custom software development, technology integrations, acquisitions, and the deployment of Microsoft Office. In addition, they will be responsible for team management, work intake processes, steering committees, and establishing a Company Plan of Record (POR).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Leadership:
Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) team, setting clear goals and objectives, and ensuring project success
Develop and execute project management strategies, methodologies, and best practicesto deliver projects on time and within budget
2. Financial Accountability:
Manage project budgets, financial resources, and cost-effective project delivery, identifying cost-saving opportunities Maintain financial transparency with stakeholders and provide regular financial updates
3. Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including steeringcommittees and senior leadership
Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, financial performance, risks, andblockers
4. ERP Implementation:
Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of ERP implementation projects,ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, anddeliverables
5. Custom Software Development:
Manage custom software development projects, working closely with the IT departmentand external vendors
Ensure that software solutions align with business needs and contribute to processoptimization
6. Technology Integrations:
Lead technology integration initiatives, including the evaluation of new technologies, systems, and tools to enhance manufacturing processes Foster collaboration between IT and operational teams to implement technology solutions effectively
7. Acquisitions:
Provide project management expertise during acquisitions, from due diligence tointegration, to ensure a smooth transition and alignment with FreshRealm's objectives
8. Microsoft Office Rollout:
Oversee the deployment of Microsoft Office products across the organization, ensuringseamless adoption and providing necessary training and support
9. PMP Certification:
Maintain PMP (Project Management Professional) certification and promote projectmanagement excellence within the organization
10. Team Management:
Recruit, hire, and mentor a team of project managers and business analysts to supportproject execution and analysis
Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure the growth anddevelopment of the PMO team
11. Work Intake Processes:
Establish and manage structured work intake processes to effectively assess, prioritize,and initiate projects based on organizational goals and resources
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and assess feasibility
12. Steering Committees:
Assist in the formation and management of project steering committees, comprising keystakeholders, to provide oversight and decision-making for critical projects
Facilitate regular steering committee meetings and communication
13. Priority Setting:
Work closely with department heads and executives to define project priorities inalignment with the company's strategic objectives
Develop and maintain a prioritization framework to ensure projects are in line with thecompany's strategic goals
14. Company Plan of Record (POR):
Lead the development and maintenance of the Company Plan of Record, documentingall active and proposed projects, timelines, resources, and dependencies
Ensure alignment of project portfolios with the overall corporate strategy
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
PMP certification is required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in manufacturing-related projects
Proven experience managing ERP implementations, custom software development, technology integrations, acquisitions, and Microsoft Office deployments
Strong leadership and team management skills
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in project management tools and software
Proven experience in hiring and managing project managers and business analysts, fostering a high-performance team culture
Expertise in establishing effective work intake and project prioritization processes within a large organization
Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders in steering committees
Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, including the ability to create and maintain a comprehensive Company Plan of Record
Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills to guide project managers and ensure project success
Experience in resource allocation, budget management, and project portfolio optimization
