We have an exciting opportunity on our team for a Head of Sales who will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of the firm's sales strategy. What can you expect to do?
- Sales Strategy and Development: Develop and implement the overall sales strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives. This includes identifying target markets, client segments, and determining the most effective approaches to reach potential clients.
- Sales Planning and Forecasting: Develop sales plans and forecasts, considering market trends, competitive analysis, and the firm's capabilities. Monitor sales performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and make adjustments to the sales strategy as needed.
- Business Development: Activitely seek new business opportunities and partnerships. This involves networking, attending industry events, and staying informed about market trends to identify potential clients and projects.
- Consultative Relationship Building: Develop strong collaborative relationships with prospects to create, identify and develop needs.
- Proposal Development: Work with solutioning and delivery teams to build compelling proposals to solve client's problems.
- Collaboration with other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure a coordinated approach to business development and client engagement. Collaborate with the consulting team to align sales efforts with the firm's service offerings.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Regularly analyze sales performance data, generate reports, and present insights to the executive team. Use this information to make data-driven decisions, identify areas for improvement, and track progress toward sales goals.
- Enabling and Meeting Revenue Goals (short term and Long Term): Develop and mentor extended team of Sales and solutioning teams to enable meeting revenue goals.
- Significant experience in sales and business development, preferably in the procurement or consulting industry.
- Proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Experience in complex, B2B (business-to-business) sales
- Deep understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and consulting services.
- Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a sales or business development role
- Strong skills in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Ability to understand client needs, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and value propositions to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to secure favorable deals for both the client and the consulting firm and being proficient in negotiation techniques, especially in high-stakes contract negotiations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market conditions, track sales performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and consulting teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changes in the market, industry, and company priorities.
- Ability to build client ready content and proposals that are custom to meet client needs
- Perceived as procurement expert in front of prospects (Just generalist selling experience is not enough)
The pay range for this role is $149,130 - $268,434. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: February 12, 2024. As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance.
