As a Service Sales Leader for Electrification Business Area in Shinagawa, Japan, you will be responsible for participating in the development of sales strategies for the account by providing the customer’s current business and long-term plans. The local legal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

This position reports to

EL Commercial Leader (ELSE M&S manager)

Your responsibilities

  • Defining and proposing revenues and gross margin targets for the account and ensuring the achievement with a structured follow up process
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element
  • Planning the strategy to establish and develop account relationships. Acting as focal point for problem resolution and monitors the customer claims. Planning, facilitating and conducting customer negotiations
  • Developing, maintaining and sharing detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition
  • Selling products and/or solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Division. Promoting frame agreement with the customer
  • Monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
  • Ensuring the successful outcome of sales transactions, contracts and proposals. Communicating details in accordance with ABB supply, offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions)
  • Coordinating the use of internal or external resources (e.g., technical, advertising, and marketing) in order to provide value added services to accounts

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and management or related course is preferable
  • At least 5+year sales specialist experience
  • Experience in direct communication with Japanese industrial customers and oversea suppliers
  • Experienced user of MS Office
  • Knowledge on electrical product business
  • Japanese proficiency both in written and oral (JLPT N1 level)
  • Fare in English for business conversation, good in English reading and writing
