SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Vice President, Strategic Sourcing reports to the Group President and is a partner to drive productivity and enable profitable growth by leading all aspects of the Strategic Sourcing function. The position is a hands-on leader working with the Group BU Sourcing teams, helping develop best-in-class strategies and processes that align customer needs to the optimal global supply network that improves efficiencies, cost, working capital, and risk mitigation. The leader is a visionary in supply chain, a consensus builder, and an integrator of people and processes; collaborating across business units to affect positive change. As a member of the Group’s Senior Leadership Staff, the position aids in setting Business Unit budgets, goals, resource allocations, and strategic direction and building overall sourcing capability across the Group.
REPORTING TO : Group President
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop overarching global Sourcing strategy and network design for the Group – ensuring significant focus on customer expectations to achieve growth targets
- Utilize 8020 tools to actively reduce supplier and supply chain complexity
- Design and implement global commodity management strategies to decrease risk, increase OTD, and deliver a minimum of 3% YOY cost reduction, while meeting working capital goals
- Integrate and facilitate the relationship with business leaders throughout the Group, aligning the Sourcing Strategy to other business objectives, goals, and outcomes
- Design, implement, administer, and monitor best-in-class Sourcing policies, processes, systems, and advanced technologies
- Develop and monitor Platform-level KPIs, measuring all aspects of procurement, inventory, cost savings, supplier effectiveness, and process adherence across multiple business units
- Oversee the Sourcing functions of the Platform, both directly and indirectly, developing, training, and coaching team members to high levels of engagement
- Ensure successful negotiation of all major spends and procurement agreements
- Establish Strategic Supplier Management Processes and lead/support the relationships/partnerships with all critical suppliers
- Lead the development of suppliers to ensure they exceed Corporate, regulatory, and legal requirements
- Drive results with a sense of urgency and diplomacy through superior change management techniques
- Facilitate Best Practice Sharing across the Group.
- Team with other Group VP’s to leverage IDEX level sourcing opportunities
- All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field
- MBA preferred
- Minimum 15 years of progressive global sourcing and purchasing experience, and a minimum of 10 years leading people
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems (JDE preferred)
- Strong knowledge of negotiation and supplier agreements
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead globally, including influencing, in a matrixed organizational structure
- Ability to lead a global team in multiple Business Units with varying cultural backgrounds
- Collaborator, influencer, and the ability to present to all levels of business
- Experience with lean tools such as VSM, Kanban, material flow, supermarkets
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel: As needed, up to 50%
- Must be eligible to work in the United States

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $174,800.00 - $262,200.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
