The Human Resources Generalist is expected to work closely with business and HR leaders to execute strategic initiatives that support the needs and priorities of the business. Initiatives supported by this role include driving talent attraction and acquisition, employee engagement and action-planning, performance management, employee development, and onboarding. This role is an excellent opportunity to balance daily HR work and employee relations with creative culture impacting projects. HR Business Partner

Your responsibilities

• Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's HR and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, employee engagement, succession planning and HR initiatives.
• Provide support and guidance to management and employees when HR questions and issues arise.
• Help facilitate the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Support the continuing transformation of HR via HR process implementation and the continuous technological improvements in Workday.
• Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems referring to established precedents and policies.
• Serve a primary HR point of contact for salaried non-exempt employees addressing HR policy questions and Kronos timekeeping.

Your background

• BA/BS in Business Management, Human Resources or related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of human resources experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting employee relations, compensation, benefits, talent management and development is highly preferred.
• Understands the state and local regulations and compliance requirements for multiple states.
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Workday.
• Payroll experience is a plus.
• HR Certificate a plus (SHRM CP and/or PHR).
• The successful candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, personal integrity, organizational and prioritization skills, and an appreciation of the need for confidentiality.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
